One-man theatre. Not with a tape (like the neighbour, Mr Krapp), but with various items of apparatus, telephones, computers, an overhead projector and three antediluvian column speakers. The man, a glass-fibre-cabled locomotion fetishist who dedicates all his efforts to never moving from the spot. He is looking for his son Benjamin and his grandmother from London, for example, both of whom ran away years ago, presumably not with one another. He does not spare brochures or machines, he stretches the telephone and Internet to the limit, involves radar and X-rays. In the last analysis both his son and his grandmother are part of him, and he is part of both his son and his grandmother, or at least hopes he is. And now these parts are wandering around in world history and, as past, present and future, they are the subject of his cross-generational, undivided interest. When the overhead projector starts to record the conversations it is clear: the language has gone crazy. The equipment has gone crazy. They have him in their grip. They are weaving a web. For intermedium 2 Wolfgang Krause Zwieback develops and envelopes his intermedia theatre in a partly digital clo(w)nery. The routine attempt to define oneself while the identities dance apart. Or the birth of slapstick from the spirit of philosophy.
