Annotation: This picture captures the making of the 'bomb shot', or 'poktanju' in Korean, the mixture of beer and whiskey to make you get drunk quicker, which was invented in the Korean military culture. The dramatic jumbling of two heterogeneous properties not only visually symbolizes the 'Thermocline' movement in the deep ocean but also is a metaphor for the conflicts and complications between West and non-West and among many Asian regions, as well as the extreme chaos and confusion between tradition and modernity. I do hope that in this dynamic movement of spouting air bubbles and foams, like the volcanic eruption belching forth eternal time that makes you dream of new creative space and time, you could experience, though in imagination, the catharsis to sweep away the height of squawks and delusions of the 21th century, just like the tiger's eyes which can be also seen from a distance of the photo.
