275 PRACTICAL Information retrieval is filled with practical problems of system construction, programming, etc. It emphasizes the set of contexts over any individual context. Philosophers, on the other hand, can deal with notions of content without any practical formulation; hence they may pay attention to the individual context. Our learning ambitions are probably practical ones.
