biography
Wolfgang Muench Born 1963 in Karlsruhe, Germany Studied Fine Arts in a pre-computer era in Stuttgart, Germany and Vienna, Austria. In 1996, he joined the ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Germany. Lecturer for Interactive Media at Merz Academy for Applied Arts Stuttgart, Germany from 1997 to 2002. Artist in residence at ZKM Karlsruhe in 2002, TAS The Art School / Hong Kong Art Centre in 2003 and IAMAS Institute for Advanced Media Arts and Science Ogaki, Japan in 2003. He participated in numerous international Media Arts exhibitions, festivals and conferences. In 2004, he has been appointed Dean of the Faculty of Media Arts at LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts SIngapore Lives in Singapore Kiyoshi Furukawa Born 1959 in Tokyo, Japan Studied composition with Y. Irino in Japan and with I. Yun and G. Ligeti at the Music Academy in Berlin and Hamburg. Guest composer at Stanford University, USA, in 1991. Artist in residence at the ZKM Center for Art and Media Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany. He has been awarded numerous awards and scholarships including the "Ensemblia" in Moenchengladbach [1983]; the "PRISMA Prize", Hamburg [1990]; "Siemens Project Scholarship" [1992 | 1993]; the "North German Radio [NDR] Music Prize" [1994]. Since 2000 he has been assigned as an Associate Professor at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music [Faculty of Inter-Media Art] Lives in Germany and Tokyo, Japan
