Paternoster, which thou art in Heaven and - due to your eternal function - at the same time in hell ... In 1966, I connected this ingenious invention to Mao's permanent revolution. All machines! And what does this still have to do with contemporary China? Beijing in summer 2005. Laundry day and night. For weeks visibility is hardly more than a hundred meters. An end to 'original creation'. Amphorphous like lava traffic is pushing itself into the very last nooks and crannies of this utterly filled city ... according to the motto: there is a gap - move in! - ⁄⁄ ... ⁄⁄
