A.C., born 1958 in Heidelberg,lives and works in Berlin and Beijing www.ottjoerg.de  ⁄⁄ Pavillon Jishuitan, 2004-2006 frottages Surface Existences; Murals - The securing of evidence has constituted an essential part of Ottjörg A.C.'s artistic work right from the start. Since 1982, the artist frequently travels to China. He experiments with already existing drawings by anonymous originators left behind in public spaces, in order to 'immortalize' them. In the project Murals, he makes visible the scratched signs on the walls of the Hutongs in the form of colored frottage.
