Stephan Urbaschek: Let's begin with your first exhibition at the antiquarian bookshop of Galerie Buchholz in Cologne in 2003 and how it came about.
Julian Göthe: Christopher Müller asked me if I'd like to do a display for the window of the Buchholz antiquarian bookshop. At first, only a small, simple display was intended, and I was going to make it from existing material from the bookshop and small paper works of my own. But it got further and further away from this window arrangement and finally ended up as a rather screwy display object. It would probably have looked very good as something to put diamonds on, but then the display as such is the object. The work went on developing into a very large structure.
Stephan Urbaschek: But it's still quite delicate.
Julian Göthe: Very delicate. It's made of paper.
