Artist

A painter and artist of the craft tradtion, Adam Lowe has exhibited internationally for over seventeen years. His past exhibits include »Ingenious Transformations« at the Millais Gallery, »Techno-Digital Sublime« at Central Fine Arts, New York, and a retrospective exhibition of his printed works at the Russian State Museum in St Petersburg. In 2000, he co-curated with Simon Schaffer the exhibition »no1se«, [Whipple Museum of the History of Science and Kettles Yard, Cambridge] a series of exhibitions addressing information and transformation. Interested not in the destruction of images, Lowe focuses instead on the metamorphosis of prints and traces through varied mediums in science and technology. He currently lives in London duplicating Egyptian tombs.
