2. Awards / Nominations 

ANIE Africa Network for Information Ethics Awards 2014.

During the 4th ANIE International Conference on Information Ethics organized by the ACEIE (African Centre of Excellence for Information Ethics, University of Pretoria, South Africa) that took place on July 2-4, 2014 in Kampala (Uganda) two ANIE academic awards were presented one to Prof. Constant Okello-Obura, University of Makarere (Uganda)and the second one to Prof. Dennis Ngong Ocholla, University of Zululand (South Africa) for their outstanding support of Information Ethics. The award for political commitment to Information Ethics in Africa was presented to Mr Jaco du Toit, Adviser in Communication and Information, UNESCO Nairobi Cluster Office. A Special ANIE Award for a decade of contribution to Information Ethics was also presented to Prof. Rafael Capurro.
