69 BELIEFS An extensional belief may be of the sort: 'I believe the book's on the table'. An intensional belief (i.e. referentially opaque contexts) may be epistemically indefensible. It is impossible for the believer to 'know'. A belief-structure or deep-structure for our work is of the second kind of belief. -> Annotating 19; Beliefs 64, 71; Cognitivity 91; Propositional attitudes 300; Semantic field 323; Understanding 372; & Beliefs 63; Blurting 76; Conversation 109, 110; Heuristic 152; Knowledge 189; Language games 204; Learning 205; Problematic 282; Rationality 304; Surface-structure 334, 337; < 68 | 69 | 70 >
