182 INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEMS Should such a system be used as a highly saturated empirical data bank through which a searcher (user) is enabled to project numerous maps? Do we need 'guides'? If so, how formalized need these be? Is this a non-normative heuristic ?
